The Cedars Christian College community congratulates the 2017 Higher School Certificate class upon receiving their results and their ATAR scores this week.
There are many whole group and individual achievements this year and yet again our students have represented themselves and the College well.
Our students performed well in the external examinations with 98% of students receiving scores in the top 3 bands and 65% of our 203 results falling into that same category, which is a great result for the cohort.
A special congratulation to our students who received Band 6 results (greater than 90%) in Physics, Standard English, Mathematics and Extension Mathematics, CAFS, Music and PDHPE.
This year our top score went to College Captain Aubrey Duncan who received an ATAR of 96.85. Aubrey was able to achieve this outstanding result whilst studying Advanced Mathematics at the University of Wollongong at the same time as competing his HSC at Cedars. Aubrey already received early entry into the Dean’s Scholar Program in Electrical Engineering at UoW and since receiving his marks has been offered 5 scholarships including the Vice Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Scholarship and 12 months free University accommodation. Congratulations Aubrey on receiving this recognition of your commitment and character.
